Pamela Bundy Foster
President and CEO

Pamela Bundy Foster founded Bundy Development Corporation (BDC) as a vehicle to realize her vision for thriving city neighborhoods in her adopted hometown – Washington, DC.  Over the past decade, BDC has been a pioneer in urban-style development that has been an integral part of the rebirth of Washington's downtown.

BDC is a partner in the development of two of the City's largest mixed-use projects.  It is co-developer and an equity partner in CityVista, which is a $220 million development that will provide more than 685 condominiums and approximately 100,000 square feet of retail when completed in 2008.  BDC is a development partner in the Old Convention Center Site, a $1 billion, 10 acre, mixed-use development.  Both are located in the heart of downtown.

Under her leadership, BDC is developing more than 1.3 million square feet of renovation and new construction, which includes more than 1,430 housing units and approximately 510,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.

Ms. Bundy began her professional career in retail management, which brought her to Washington, DC.  She became certified as a real estate appraiser and opened her own appraisal firm.  She graduated cum laude from Lincoln University, a historically Black College, and has studied at the Graduate School of Indiana University in Pennsylvania.  Ms. Bundy is enrolled in the three-year Executive Owner President Manager (OPM) program at Harvard Business School and expects to graduate in spring 2008.

Pamela Bundy Foster commands the respect of the business community.  She has been recognized as an entrepreneur and business woman.  In 2004, Ms. Bundy was named one of the "Women Who Mean Business" by the Washington Business Journal and "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Parren J. Mitchell Foundation.  Under her leadership, BDC was nominated for Black Enterprise's "Emerging Company of the Year" award in 2001.

Ms Bundy is involved with several prestigious civic organizations.  She serves on the Board of Directors of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association.  She is an active member of the Urban Land Institute’s Executive Council, a 2003 graduate of Leadership Washington, and a member of Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW).  She has served on the Boards of Jubilee Housing and the Women’s Business Roundtable.

Born in Hustle, Va., Ms. Bundy grew up working in a family-owned and operated business.  She moved to the Washington area in 1989.
